ABOUT

The Behavioural Spectator is an in-depth look at applying behavioural science to sport.

Investigating the behaviour of players, coaches, pundits, and fans we will dig into the cognitive drivers, barriers, and biases impacting the Olympics to Sunday League.

Although occasionally data will be used as proof points or to generate hypotheses - this will not be a nauseating deep-dive into sports analytics.

No prior knowledge of statistics or behavioural science is needed to enjoy!

I have no experience of competing in high-level sport, but I am a practising behavioural scientist with a passion for understanding why we behave the way we do.

With particular interests in running, cricket, football, and above all: the Arsenal

I will try to keep my own biases in check
